This book touched me to the core. Unexpected but glorious ending. I always think to myself what would it be like to be up close and personal with God Himself. And to get Jd Inman's perspective on what that will be like was life changing.

As an avid reader I was intrigued with both the creativity and unique perspective of this novel. The view of the universe, the balance of brokenness with accomplishment, and the unique reality of total faith. I know that I have read this story on more then one occasion. However, I have not sat in the mind of this author/storyteller and viewed the world and the impractical journey through this set of eye's. As I reveled and understood I was compelled to enjoy, the vision, the impact, the story and yes, the creativity.

“Thought provoking” seems to be a common adjective to describe this book, and there’s a good reason… it is, undoubtedly, just that. It is also an innovative concept, and a humbling reminder that we are merely a small piece of the larger puzzle. I will never gaze at the night sky in quite the same way again!

I literally JUST finished reading the book during my lunch break because I have not been able to put it down since I downloaded it yesterday to my phone. I seriously want to break down in tears at how amazing & beautiful this book is, but I fear my co-workers might think I’ve lost it. :) This to me is better than any of the Left Behind Series books that I read in years past, and honestly, is right up there with “The Shack”. This truly was God-breathed, and I pray that the whole world will read it! Bravo!

Just finished reading Beyond The Sun by JD Inman. It is a must read! I will be honest I had a little difficulty getting into the book to begin with. (Space books are not my favorite genre), but by chapter three it was like standing on a street wondering what was around the next corner, and by chapter 16…I was having to remind myself to breathe. I was totally hooked! This book had me thinking, I can’t say about what or that would give away too much. You just have to read it for yourselves. Great job JD! I pray that God will use you and this book to reach millions for Jesus. -B. Gould

I finished reading your book a couple of days ago. I really enjoyed it. In your notes at the end, you say that you’ve not read many SciFi books. Well, I’ve read hundreds (nerd alert!) and consider myself well positioned to review. So many books in the last 10 years have fallen into predictable patterns. Your story was unique and that might have something to do with your having approached it from “outside”. I loved the starting premise; that’s there’s one spot so close to home that we can’t see. That’s brilliant. I’d love to say more, but I know you don’t want people giving too much away. Congratulations on your accomplishment. I’m very impressed. Well done!

    J.D.

I rarely read “science fiction”, but this was a wonderful exception. After the first few pages, I was hooked and could barely put it down. The book has a good story line and is completely believable. You say in the back that “it was literally given to you by God”. That seems right, but he also gave you a talent and you used it well in this book. I hope to see more of your books in the future.

Wow! Just finished “Beyond the Sun” after starting it only 2 days ago! I’ve had it in hand for a couple of weeks but hadn’t taken the time to start reading it. Until I happened to read the “Author’s Note” at the end and decided it might be worth my time to start it. Boy am I glad I did!

Wow! Amazing! Exciting! Unique! These are just a few of the words I would use to describe this book. There are many more, but you will just have to read the book and choose some of your own to use. I really enjoyed watching the story grow and change. There are some really exciting twists and turns I wasn’t expecting and it was really fun to read them. There is so many good things to say about this book. One of the most interesting things for me was the fact that it was so real. Like this could quite possibly one day happen. It was good to because it was real life. You felt like you could connect to the characters individually. You got to watch them grow and love and hurt and live. I felt like I was right there with them as I read. It is a truly amazing read and I most highly recommend it to all readers. It’s got a little bit of everything in there. It’s a book that will appeal to anyone! JD Inman is a genius! He did an outstanding job and I am proud to have been able to read his book, Beyond The Sun!

Written into what is called “fiction” are truths of romance, sin, thoughts, private thoughts, jealousy…and if you’ve ever felt totally alone…. read it…everyone on earth and even if you traveled through space beyond the sun…. these things are felt/dealt with. Harlequin wishes they had put all of these feelings in such a place. :)

I finished your book yesterday. You have quite a gift! The story was fascinating. Not many books put me on the edge of my seat, but I was excited to move forward after their preparation for the mission. Read well past my bed time that night. Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Brad Thor, Nelson DeMille, Preston & Child, Patricia Cornwell etc., are some of my favorite authors and can always keep me reading after my bed time. Kudos to you for doing the same. I’m as harsh a critic as they come, so I don’t say any of this lightly. I’ve read many books over the past 36 years and yours will remain near the top of my list as a great read. Well done and keep pounding the keys!
